Texas Unemployment

According to the BLS current population survey (CPS), the unemployment rate for Texas fell 0.1 percentage points in October 2011 to 8.4%. The state unemployment rate was 0.6 percentage points lower than the national rate for the month. The unemployment rate in Texas peaked in August 2011 at 8.5% and is now 0.1 percentage points lower.
