Gas Prices

13 Oct

Expectation for gas rise would be $5 by 2011.
The scary news is that just about everything we need to survive will go up in price as a result of high gas prices.

How do you feel about the rise in gas
and how its going to affect us in our future?

In the long run, higher gas prices is very good news for the survival of humanity and the health of the planet. Since we have not voluntarily reduced our gas consumption, more greenhouse gases are needlessly being dumped into the atmosphere thus making Global Warming worse.

i think that we should drive less and find a way to write a letter to the government telling them that they should produce more ethanol and electric cars so that the dependence on oil will come down and it would also affect gas prices.

The production of more ethanol causes the price of food to rise due to the fact that the farmers focus on growing feeder corn rather than some of the other traditional crops. Thus, crop production is focused toward ethanol’s production so that the farmers can get the Govt subsidies (free money). Rather than supplying traditional foods for your kitchen table. Simple supply and demand.
Also, more electric cars means more coal production (remember, coal bad) to power the power plants that provide the electricity for your electric car. You cant have your cake and eat it too.

This YEAR 4,495 Chevy Volts have been sold, pretty good, right? Wrong, this MONTH 5,246 Chevy Suburbans were sold. So what do people really want? Do the math.
As soon as you can produce an electric vehicle that has the power and performance of the gasoline motor then and only then will people by electric en mass.
